Oxygen not included wiki geysers9/20/2023 ![]() They get hurt but that's what med beds are for. If I don't have exosuits I just send the dupes in anyway. ![]() However safety is no concern really for me. Even geysers that have open space are not insilated, so the heat has been dissipated into the surrounding area, making the gas relatively cool. Many geysers are covered to begin with so there is no room to be full of gas. That seems to be the straightforward solution.Īlso you can get Exosuits before you get to geysers, and you'd still have the room full of the gas anyways, so dormancy doesn't help with safety either. Coal is almost never an issue, so it's not like replacing NGGs would be a problem.Īlthough I do like calculating the average output and using just enough generators to run them all the time. Because the infrastructure in ONI is simply not intricate enough to allow just-in-time systems. Chances are switching 1 switch is more than enough. Some people think that a fully automated foolproof setup is needed to play around dromancy. instead of complete dormancy, it would be a very low output (so the setup is still usable, at least partially). geysers would only activate once analysed (in which case they could also hide what kind of Geyser it is) geysers would activate around Cycle 30-60 Thanks, there are some really good points there!Īll the things you like about dormancy would still be true if: I suppose it adds some challenge, but like I said, not everyone wants to do Math! If you calculate how much you get on average every cycle, you can determine how much of the resource you can smoothly and continuously use to avoid shortages, then setup a way to hold all of the excess during the active period, that will last all through the dormancy period. i'm not sure i really see the point, basically it forces players to do some math and not everyone wants to do that. I mean, a enourmous cavern, to have a large reservoir of NG.ĭoing that will only allow you to have 5-6kg of natural gas per tile, if you focus on researching plastics and high pressure vents you can construct a separate holding chamber that will allow you to compress it to 20kg per tile. It was fun how I had improvise coal generators, before all the gas run out.įor NG geisers, create a big room around the geiser.
